When CAIR says “Jump”, the NPR Dhimmis ask “How High”?

In Islamofascists, Media on October 21, 2010 at 8:07 pm

National Public Radio (NPR) news analyst, Juan Williams has been fired following demands from Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) that NPR punish Williams.  It is a disturbing pattern of ‘dhimmitude’ on the part of the media and our government which is becoming all too familiar.

Williams, a frequent contributor on Fox News, had admitted on The O’Reilly Factor Monday night, that it bothers him when he gets on a plane with individuals who are obviously Muslim.

“I mean, look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. … But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they’re identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

NPR’s decision to fire Williams came only hours after the statement from CAIR that Williams comments “should not pass without action by NPR.”

While this is not a ‘freedom of speech’ issue in the Constitutional sense, the efforts by American progressives and the Islamofascists to stifle open debate through intimidation and fear is having the same effect.  Tyranny, regardless of the method by which it is imposed, is tyranny all the same.  What is needed to counter it, is courage.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” – Edmund Burke, 1795

Fortunately, there are good and courageous individuals at the Fox News Channel who have refused to bow to demands to punish any of their controversial political commentators, and has today offered Juan Williams a $2 million contract.  The implicit message from Fox News to CAIR: “Go pound sand!”
