Michelle Obama was being interviewed on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and said something that seems a little odd. She said, “It means all the world to us to know that there are prayer circles out there and people who are keeping the spirits clean around us.” Yes, you read that right! She actually said, “keeping the spirits clean around us”. Listen to it for yourself.
From this statement we can justifiably infer some things. We can infer them because Michelle Obama has implied them. If there are ‘clean spirits’, it necessarily implies that there are ‘unclean spirits’. If there are people who are responsible for keeping the spirits around the Obamas ‘clean’, it necessarily implies that they are keeping the ‘unclean spirits’ away. Additionally, these individuals who are keeping the ‘unclean spirits’ away, must have the ability to do that by virtue of the fact that Mrs. Obama implies that they have been successful in keeping the spirits around them limited to ‘clean spirits’.
So who are these individuals who have the power to ward off ‘unclean spirits’. In the belief system known as ‘animism’, there are those who have the power to ward off ‘unclean spirits’; they are refered to as, witch doctors, medicine men, or shamans. We must conclude from Mrs. Obama’s statement that there are individuals with the power over the spirits of this world who have generously donated their time in an effort to protect the Obamas from ‘unclean spirits’. How special!
Unfortunately, it appears that they seem not to have much influence over angry taxpayers.

President Obama addressed the critical importance of a big progressive Democrat turnout at the polls during the November elections on Michael Baisden’s radio show.
“The reason we won [in 2008] is because young people, African Americans, Latinos — people who traditionally don’t vote in high numbers — voted in record numbers. We’ve got to have that same kind of turnout in this election,” Obama said. “If we think that we can just vote one time, then we have a nice party at Obama’s inauguration, and then we can kind of sit back and suddenly everything’s going to change – that’s just not how it works.”
Obama also stressed what it would mean if those evil Republicans were allowed to gain a majority on Capital Hill.
“They are fired up. They are mobilized. They see an opportunity to take back the House, maybe take back the Senate,” he said. “If they’re successful in doing that, they’ve already said they’re going to go back to the same policies that were in place during the Bush administration. That means that we are going to have just hand-to-hand combat up here on Capitol Hill.”
We understand that the President was measuring his words carefully. I am sure that his choice of the words ‘hand to hand combat’ was an understatement. He is from Chicago after all, and we have all become familiar with the ‘Chicago Way’.
In cartoons, Obama, Palin on September 27, 2010 at 8:06 pm
As I highlighted in a previous post, hopenchange has become a media addiction at every level, comics included. Now, up coming issues of Archie Comics (Archie #616 and #617, will feature Barack Obama and Sarah Palin squaring off against one another.
The cover for issue #616 places Obama and Palin in a somewhat compromising, almost romantic setting, sharing a milkshake. How wonderfully warm and fuzzy, right? Well, it is Archie Comics after all.
But, hold on, Politico is reporting that Archie Comics will announce tomorrow that they are planning additional cover designs that will be significantly less ‘bi-partisan’.
“Archie Comics will announce on Tuesday variant covers on the Obama-Palin theme, with one cover showing Obama poised to clash with Palin in midair, while another — labeled ‘The Fight for America!’ — depicting Obama and Palin sporting boxing gloves, prepped to spar with one other. Obama is dubbed ‘The Chicago Kid’ while Palin gets named ‘The Thrilla from Wasilla.’ ”
“Archie Comics co-CEO Jon Goldwater told POLITICO that the company had received so much positive feedback on the first Obama/Palin cover (which made the rounds last week) they decided, why ruin a good thing?”
With Obama’s approval ratings lagging in direct proportion to the fetters he and his minions are placing on our economy, my money is on Palin.

Then: The Strong and Brave.
“I can hear you, the rest of the world can hear you and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon.” —George W. Bush
Now: The Weak and Capitulant.
“Let me be clear, as a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances.”—B. Hussein Obama
From the Boston Herald:
“Not a word about Islam’s unique role in the events of 9/11, no acknowledging that a mosque near the site of the attack would be provocative or insensitive. Instead, merely a defense of Manhattan’s zoning regulations.”

We have all seen this graphic. It is one which produces a strong reaction. “Oh, God Yes”, or “Hell, No”, depending on your political persuasion. Well, a recent poll shows that Ohio voters do miss ol’ George and would prefer him in the White House right now rather than the Jackass-in-Chief Obama, by a 50 to 42 margin.
After all the time and effort spent by Democrats to demonize Bush as a war criminal and blame him for everything from natural disasters to the collapse of the economy, all I can say about this new poll is;
“Ouch, that’s gotta hurt”!

After spending nearly a trillion dollars in stimulus, bank bailouts, home owner bailouts, auto industry bailouts, police, firemen, and teacher bailouts, Hollywood bailouts, and a whole lot of nonsense like this, the US economy continues to flatline. So what does Obama want to do now? Spend another $50 billion on infrastructure projects.
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results might be insane, it is also really stupid. What’s worse, Obama knows that it is stupid. Back in November of 2009, Obama said, “…if we keep on adding to the debt, even in the midst of a recovery, that at some point, uh, people could lose confidence in the US economy in a way that can actually lead to a double dip recession.”
After adding more to the National Debt in the first 19 months of his Presidency than all Presidents from Washington to Reagan combined, with no perceivable benefit, and doing himself and the Democrat brand a great deal of harm in the process, what is the logic of doing more of the same?
Because they are Democrats. Democrats are statists. They are all about government. In their view, government is the solution. While admitting that government got us into this mess, it would never, ever occur to them that government is in fact, the problem, and that the best course of action would be for government to get out of the way.

At the risk of sounding cynical, it’s this the ‘Joe Camel strategy’?
