Democrats Take Immigration Issues Seriously

In Jackasses, left wing lunacy on September 24, 2010 at 8:17 pm

A subcommittee meeting was held this morning in a hearing room of the House Judiciary Committee.  Four ‘experts’ on immigration issues were invited to testify at the hearing.  One of these ‘experts’ was comedian Stephen Colbert.  He had been invited by committee chair Zoe Lofgren (D-Ca), presumably because television and movie celebrities are what passes for ‘experts’  in the ‘twilight zone’ that is California.  In her opening statement as chairwoman of the immigration subcommittee, Lofgren thanked Colbert for using his celebrity position to highlight the plight of immigrant farm workers in the US.

Colbert, testifying in character as a political pundit, opened his remarks by saying, “This is America! I don’t want a tomato picked by a Mexican! I want it picked by an American, then sliced by Guatemalan, and served by a Venezuelan in a spa where a Chilean gives me a Brazilian.”

Because Colbert had spent a day working on a farm picking and packing corn, which apparently was the sum total of his expertise on the multifaceted subject of immigration, there was some question regarding the actual work that he performed on that occasion.

When it was (Rep. Steve) King’s turn to question the witness, he said he had watched a YouTube video that purported to show Colbert packing corn while working on a farm for a day. “When I watched, you unpacked corn,” the congressman alleged. “You don’t do that out there on the cornfield.”

“Were you implying that I was not actually doing the work I was depicted as doing?” the comedian replied.

“I thought it was curious,” King repeated, “that on the farm where you harvest the corn I was watching you actually unload a crate rather than load a crate.”

Rep. Charlie Gonzalez (D-Texas) yielded time to Colbert to respond to the allegation. “Mr. Colbert, which direction was the corn going in?”

Colbert appeared to get serious. “I was packing corn. I was a cornpacker,” he insisted. “I know that term is offensive to some people because cornpacker is a derogatory term for a gay Iowan.”

In all, the testimony of a pseudo political pundit, invited by pseudo Americans, to testify in the ‘dog and pony show’ that is this Democrat led Congress, was a complete and total embarrassment.

Democrats: Reaping What They’ve Sown

In Jackasses on September 21, 2010 at 8:32 pm

The Bible has a lesson for every situation.

The American people have learned this lesson;

“The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.” – Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV)

As a consequence, the Democrats must come to grips with this;

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap” – Galatians 6:7 (NASV).

Democrat Rebranding Effort

In Jackasses on September 16, 2010 at 7:01 pm

Ahead of the November elections, Democrats are trying to do a little rebranding, including a snazzy new logo.  Well, maybe not exactly snazzy, more like, well, really, really dull.  In fact, when you see it on some of the DNC merchandise, it is positively flaccid.  Which makes it a very appropriate symbol for the Democrats in this election cycle.

Another thing that is great about this design is that it can be representative of so many things that the Democrats stand for, e.g., ‘demented’, ‘deranged’, ‘depressing’, ‘delusional’, ‘delinquent’, ‘disestablishmentarianism’, and, after the November elections, ‘defeated’.

___________________________________________________________

UPDATE  – 9/17/10:

Harvey over at IMAO has figured out how the Dems came up with this design.  How about this for a slogan?;  ‘Democraps: Flushing America’s Future’, or, ‘Democraps: Flush ’em on Nov. 2nd”.

Michelle Malkin has a different take on this logo’s evolution.

The Strategy for a Democrat Victory

In Jackasses, left wing lunacy on September 12, 2010 at 3:08 pm

As all of the political pundits on both sides of the aisle are very much aware, Republicans are going to win big in November.  The GOP is projected to win a majority in the House and take enough seats in the Senate to effectively bring the Obama agenda to a screeching halt.

Democrats are in a panic.  They have made their bed and are now ill-disposed to succumb to the inevitable consequence of having to lie in it.  Thomas Geoghegan over at the marxist rag The Nation has the solution for these reluctant Democrats, (at least in the form of a strategy to win their power back), Ten Things Dems Could Do to Win.

The foundation of his strategy is that the Democrats need to do something for their base.  “DO SOMETHING FOR YOUR BASE!”  Geoghegan stresses this point by repeating it three times.  Evidently, he is of the opinion that the extreme leftist agenda of this Congress has not been left leaning enough for his taste.  He thinks that much of what this Congress has accomplished in the last four years has helped too few, or benefited too many in the red-states.

Here are the ten things Mr. Geoghegan thinks the Democrats should do to win:

1.) Raise Social Security to 50 percent of working income.

Social Security is in serious trouble.  In 1950 there were sixteen workers supporting one SSI recipient, it is now down to three workers per recipient.  By the time today’s young workers retire, each of them will be supported by only two workers.  Mr. Geoghegan admits that to raise the SSI benefits from 39% to 50% of working income will mean higher taxes.  Since when has raising taxes been a strategy for political victory in the modern age?  Saving Social Security is a multifaceted problem which should be urgently addressed by both Republicans and Democrats, not used as a political football.

2.) Let’s extend Medicare to people 55 to 65.

Medicare is way over burdened as it is, but I am sure that the over 65 crowd won’t mind at all if Medicare resources are stretched a little thinner so that Democrats can buy the votes of the 55 to 65 crowd.  Oh, and do I really need to point out that it will mean higher taxes?

3.)  Make it a civil right to join, or not to join, a labor union.

Actually, I love this idea.  Freedom and liberty for all, at least from compulsory union membership and the dues that go along with it.  It is a great idea.  A conservative idea, libertarian even.  The Dems will never, ever get behind it.

4.) Put in a usury cap of 16 percent.

I am sure that placing limits on returns in the financial sector will not shackle our economy at all, and the amount of capital available for economic growth will not be diminished what-so-ever.

5.) Set up small government banks like the German Sparkasse.

Probably the dumbest idea of the bunch.  With such a long and notorious history of fiscal mismanagement, who could possibly think that the government should get into the banking business.  The left might argue that the government could not do any worse than the private sector, and the vast majority of Americans would burst out laughing.  The federal government does everything much worse than the private sector, and at three times the cost.

6.) Give everyone the right to six days of vacation—six consecutive paid working days.

Can the left ever come up with a strategy for political victory that doesn’t include forcing one set of Americans to give something to another set of Americans?  Besides, I already have this benefit, out of the goodness of my employers heart; and I am just an hourly, blue-collar grunt.

7.)  Let employees sue corporate officers for breach of fiduciary duty to the corporation.

Wait,…what?  This must be number 56 on the list of voters top political issues. I mean, how many times have you heard someone at the office water cooler say, “Gee, I sure wish some politician would get behind letting us lowly employees sue our corporate officers for breach of fiduciary duty to the corporation.”

8.) Pass a College Bill of Rights.

Oh, yeah!  A lot of votes there!  Good luck with that!

9.) End the filibuster.

In a separate piece, Thomas Geoghegan tries to make the case for the elimination of the filibuster rule.  Despite the fact that both parties rue the filibuster rule when it works against them, they laud it when it works for them.  I really doubt that either side will be in favor of permanently getting rid of it.  Besides, the legislative process is supposed to be difficult, by design.  It affords a small amount of protection for ‘we the people’ from legislative tyranny.

10.) Get the country out of debt.

First, Mr. Geoghegan stresses that the Democrats must do something for their base, and now he says, get rid of the national debt.  The two are mutually exclusive.  Several of the proposals that he himself has put forward will add to that debt.  The left does not know how to solve any of America’s problems without throwing money at them.

I believe that if the left continues to think like this, and if the Republicans have learned their lesson to the extent that they begin to govern as conservatives, with the Tea Party movement as their self-appointed conscience, the Jackasses will be out of power for a good long time.

Of course, we all know how Democrats behave when they are out of power.  They are more like Demo-brats, constantly whining and throwing fits.  Americans can put up with it in exchange for this one chance to put an end to this on going enslavement to government, and to finally be able to get off of Uncle Sam’s plantation.  Besides, the antics of Jackasses out of power are enormously entertaining.  I especially enjoy the drama the ensues following each election cycle when the still powerless Democrats ponder what they could have done differently, and/or besmirch the intelligence and sophistication of the American voters.  Pure entertainment.

The Biggest Democrat Lie of All

In Civil Rights, Jackasses on August 29, 2010 at 6:17 pm

On the ‘Civil Rights’ page of the Democratic Party website appears the following statement;

“Democrats are unwavering in our support of equal opportunity for all Americans. That’s why we’ve worked to pass every one of our nation’s Civil Rights laws, and every law that protects workers.”

Really?  Democrats have “worked to pass every one of our nation’s Civil Rights laws”?  Since when?  Never mind ‘every one of our nation’s Civil Rights laws’, I think they would be hard pressed to, truthfully, name even a handful.

Rev. Wayne Perryman , author of Unfounded Loyalty and, Whites, Blacks and Racist Democrats, has been working for years to set the record straight.

In 2004, Perryman wrote an editorial entitled, The Racist History of the Democratic Party.  It is a very edifying read.

The Racist History of the Democratic Party

Most people are either a Democrat by design, or a Democrat by deception. That is either they were well aware the racist history of the Democrat Party and still chose to be Democrat, or they were deceived into thinking that the Democratic Party is a party that sincerely cared about Black people.

History reveals that every piece of racist legislation that was ever passed and every racist terrorist attack that was ever inflicted on African Americans, was initiated by the members of the Democratic Party. From the formation of the Democratic Party in 1792 to the Civil Rights movement of 1960’s, Congressional records show the Democrat Party passed no specific laws to help Blacks, every law that they introduced into Congress was designed to hurt blacks in 1894 Repeal Act. The chronicles of history shows that during the past 160 years the Democratic Party legislated Jim Crows laws, Black Codes and a multitude of other laws at the state and federal level to deny African Americans their rights as citizens.

History reveals that the Republican Party was formed in 1854 to abolish slavery and challenge other racist legislative acts initiated by the Democratic Party.

Some called it the Civil War, others called it the War Between the States, but to the African Americans at that time, it was the War Between the Democrats and the Republicans over slavery. The Democrats gave their lives to expand it, Republican gave their lives to ban it.

During the Senate debates on the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, it was revealed that members of the Democratic Party formed many terrorist organizations like the Ku Klux Klan to murder and intimidate African Americans voters. The Ku Klux Klan Act was a bill introduced by a Republican Congress to stop Klan Activities. Senate debates revealed that the Klan was the terrorist arm of the Democratic Party.

History reveals that Democrats lynched, burned, mutilated and murdered thousands of blacks and completely destroyed entire towns and communities occupied by middle class Blacks, including Rosewood, Florida, the Greenwood District in Tulsa Oklahoma, and Wilmington, North Carolina to name a few.

After the Civil War, Democrats murdered several hundred black elected officials (in the South) to regain control of the southern government. All of the elected officials up to 1935 were Republicans. As of 2004, the Democrat Party (the oldest political party in America) has never elected a black man to the United States Senate, the Republicans have elected three.

History reveals that it was Thaddeus Stevens, a Radical Republican that introduced legislation to give African Americans the so-called 40 acres and a mule and Democrats overwhelmingly voted against the bill. Today many white Democrats are opposed to paying African Americans trillions of dollars in Reparation Pay, money that should be paid by the Democratic Party.

History reveals that it was Abolitionists and Radical Republicans such as Henry L. Morehouse and General Oliver Howard that started many of the traditional Black colleges, while Democrats fought to keep them closed. Many of our traditional Black colleges are named after white Republicans.

Congressional records show it was Democrats that strongly opposed the passage of the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments. These three Amendments were introduced by Republicans to abolish slavery, give citizenship to all African Americans born in the United States and, give Blacks the right to vote.

Congressional records show that Democrats were opposed to passing the following laws that were introduced by Republicans to achieve civil rights for African Americans:

Civil Rights Act 1866
Reconstruction Act of 1867
Freedman Bureau Extension Act of 1866
Enforcement Act of 1870
Force Act of 1871
Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871
Civil Rights Act of 1875
Civil Rights Act of 1957
Civil Rights Act of 1960

And during the 60’s many Democrats fought hard to defeat the

1964 Civil Rights Act
1965 Voting Rights Acts
1972 Equal Employment Opportunity Act

Court records shows that it was the Democrats that supported the Dred Scott Decision. The decision classified Blacks and property rather than people. It was also the racist Jim Crow practices initiated by Democrats that brought about the two landmark cases of Plessy v Ferguson and Brown v. The Board of Education.

At the turn of the century (1900), Southern Democrats continued to oppress African Americans by placing thousands in hard-core prison labor camps. According to most historians, the prison camps were far worst than slavery. The prisoners were required to work from 10-14 hours a day, six to seven days a week in temperatures that exceeded 100 degrees and in temperatures that fell well below zero. The camps provided free labor for building railroads, mining coal-mines and for draining snake and alligator invested swamps and rivers. Blacks were transported from one project to another in rolling cages similar to the ones used to transfer circus animals. One fourth of the prison populations were children ages 6 to 18. Young Cy Williams age 12, was sentenced to 20 years for stealing a horse that he was too small to ride. Eight-year old Will Evans was sentenced to 2 years of hard labor for taking some change from a store counter and six-year old Mary Gay was sentenced to 30 days for taking a hat. While authorities sent whites to jail for the same offenses, they sent blacks to the prison camps with much longer sentences. Thousands died from malaria, frost bites, heat strokes, shackle poisoning, others were buried alive in collapsing mines, or blown to pieces in tunnel explosions, and still others drowned in swamps or were beaten and shot to death. Every southern black citizen was a potential prisoner for any alleged small offense, including violating evening curfews. Through the prison camp system, southern owners of railroads, mines and farms had an unlimited source of free labor. The black prisoners played a major role the South’s economic development. Bryan Stevenson of the Equal Justice Initiative, said, in his opinion, “the prison camps were a new form of slavery, but far more inhumane.”

History reveals that it was three white persons that opposed the Democrat’s racist practices who started the NAACP.

Dr. Martin Luther King, several Civil Rights leaders and many historians reported that during the first two years of his administration, President John F. Kennedy ignored Dr. King’s request for Civil Rights. The chronicles of history reveal that it was only after television coverage of riots and several demonstrations did President Kennedy feel a need to introduce the 1963 Civil Rights Act. At that time, experts believe the nation was headed toward a major race war.

History reveals that it was Democratic Attorney General, Robert Kennedy that approved the secret wire taps on Dr, Martin Luther King Jr., and it was Democratic President Lyndon Johnson that referred to Dr. King as ” that nigger preacher.” Senator Byrd referred to Dr. King as a “trouble maker” who causes trouble and then runs like a “coward,” when trouble breaks out.

Over the strong objections of racist Republican Senator Jessie Helms, Republican President Ronald Reagan, signed into law, a bill to make Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday a national holiday. Several Republican Senators convinced President Reagan this was the right thing to do.

Congressional records show after signing the 1972 Equal Employment Opportunity Act and issuing Executive Order 11478, Richard Nixon, a Republican, that started what we know as Affirmative Action.

On December 15, 1994, federal Judge David V. Kenyon issued a court order to the Clinton Administration in the Case of Fairchild v Robert Reich Secretary of Labor (#CV92-5765 Kn). The order demanded that Secretary Reich and the Clinton Administration force 100 west coast shipping to develop an Affirmative Action plan to stop discrimination against, African Americans, Hispanics, Female and Disabled Workers. Female employees were being sexually harassed, Hispanic were being denied promotions and training, Disable Workers were being laid off, and African Americans were being force to work in an environment where they had job classification called ” Nigger Jobs.” Clinton left office six years later and never complied with the court order. The companies still do not have an Affirmative Action Plan.

President Clinton sent 20, 000 troops to protect the white citizens of Europe’s Bosnia, but sent no troops to Africa’s Rwanda to protect the black citizens there. Consequently over 800,000 Africans were massacre

During the 2003 Democratic Primary debates, the Rev. Al Sharpton, said the Democrat take the black vote for granted and treat African American like a mistress. They [Democrats} will take us to the dance, but they don’t want to take us home to meet mama.”
On December 3, 2002, President Clinton spoke to Democratic Leadership Council in New York regarding the future of the Democratic Party and how they could retake the White House. At no time did he address Civil Rights issues for blacks or doing things to improve the conditions of African Americans. His only reference to Civil Rights was Civil Rights for Gays. His only reference to improving communities was his recommendation to revisit the Marshall Plan to re-build communities in other countries. His entire speech was aired on C-Span.

After exclusively giving the Democrats their votes for the past 25 years, the average African American cannot point to one piece of civil rights legislation sponsored solely by the Democratic Party that was specifically designed to eradicate the unique problems that African Americans face today. Congressional records show that all previous legislation (since 1964) had strong bi-partisan support, even though some Democrats debated and voted against these laws.

After reviewing all of the evidence, many believe America would have never experienced racism to the degree that it has, had not the Democrats promoted it through:

Racist Legislation
Terrorist Organizations
Negative Media Communications
Bias Education
Relentless Intimidation
And Flawed Adjudication.

The racism established and promoted by members of the Democratic Party affected and infected the entire nation from 1856 with the Dred Scott decision, to the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education case. But they never offered or issued an apology.

Today both parties must remember their past. The Democrats must remember the terrible things they did to Blacks and apologize and the Republicans must remember the terrific things they did for Blacks and re-commit to complete the work that their predecessors started and died for.

I will concede this to the Democrat Party, that they are not trying to push African-Americans back onto the plantation.  Oh, no.  They are trying to push every American onto the plantation; Uncle Sam’s plantation.

Jackass Rangel: Resigning would be un-American

In corruption, Jackasses, left wing lunacy on July 25, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Following a call for the ‘ethically challenged’ Charlie Rangel (D-NY) to resign, Rangel said Saturday that a resignation now would be un-American.

The Hill reports:

Embattled Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) said Saturday it would be un-American of him to resign in the face of a looming ethics trial.

The Hill first reported Friday night that Rep. Betty Sutton (D-Ohio) had called on Rangel to step down, the first sitting House Democrat to do so.

The New York Daily News reported Saturday that Rangel, speaking to reporters at Harlem Hospital, brushed off the call to give up his seat.

“Well, it wouldn’t be the American thing to do,” he said. “I think I owe it to the process to find out first what the investigative committee finds out.”

“…I really never heard of that concept that if someone accuses you of something, why don’t you just step aside so you don’t embarrass anybody and admit to something that you don’t believe is true.”

Rangel would like for us all to believe that he is innocent of any wrong doing and that resigning in the face of ‘false’ accusations would be un-American.  But, what he really believes is that as a socialist progressive, Rangel’s continued presence as a representative in the U.S. Congress is more important to America than anything criminal un-ethical that he may have done.

Trust me, that is what he really thinks.

UPDATE: 7/29/10

Despite the fact that the House Ethics Committee has charged Rep. Rangel with 13 counts of violating House ethics rules, and has moved from the investigative stage, to trial stage, ol’ Charlie is still trying to ‘Rangel’ a plea deal.  I suppose that’s not un-American from Charlie’s point of view.

Bob Hope Nailed It!

In Jackasses, Obama on July 16, 2010 at 5:12 pm

It was a hilarious line then, a horrifying reality now!

That’s one small step for NASA, one giant leap for warm and fuzzy.

In Jackasses, left wing lunacy, Obama on July 6, 2010 at 7:49 pm

On May 25, 1961 President Kennedy committed America to the challenging task of landing a man on the moon before the end of the decade.  It was a monumental task given the state of Americas aerospace technology at the time.  Nevertheless, eight years later, on July 20, 1969, America achieved that goal.  Since then, only twelve human beings have walked on the moon, all of them Americans.

Today, another Democratic President has given NASA a new challenge.  According to NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, President Obama has tasked NASA with“help(ing) re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, …. to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, …. to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science … and math and engineering”.

We couldn’t make this crap up if we tried!  Pathetic!  Here is Charles Krauthammer’s response to this;

“This is a new height in fatuousness. NASA was established to get America into space and to keep us there. This idea of ‘feel good about your past’ scientific achievements is the worst kind of group therapy, psycho-babble, imperial condescension and adolescent diplomacy. If I didn’t know that Obama had told him this, I’d demand the firing of Charles Bolden.”
