Witch Doctors and Shamans Keeping Obama Safe

Michelle Obama was being interviewed on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and said something that seems a little odd.  She said, “It means all the world to us to know that there are prayer circles out there and people who are keeping the spirits clean around us.”  Yes, you read that right!  She actually said, “keeping the spirits clean around us”.  Listen to it for yourself.

From this statement we can justifiably infer some things.  We can infer them because Michelle Obama has implied them.  If there are ‘clean spirits’, it necessarily implies that there are ‘unclean spirits’.  If there are people who are responsible for keeping the spirits around the Obamas ‘clean’, it necessarily implies that they are keeping the ‘unclean spirits’ away.  Additionally, these individuals who are keeping the ‘unclean spirits’ away, must have the ability to do that by virtue of the fact that Mrs. Obama implies that they have been successful in keeping the spirits around them limited to ‘clean spirits’.

So who are these individuals who have the power to ward off ‘unclean spirits’.  In the belief system known as ‘animism’, there are those who have the power to ward off  ‘unclean spirits’; they are refered to as, witch doctors, medicine men, or shamans.  We must conclude from Mrs. Obama’s statement that there are individuals with the power over the spirits of this world who have generously donated their time in an effort to protect the Obamas from ‘unclean spirits’.  How special!

Unfortunately, it appears that they seem not to have much influence over angry taxpayers.

Ohioans Wish Bush Was Still President

We have all seen this graphic.  It is one which produces a strong reaction. “Oh, God Yes”, or “Hell, No”, depending on your political persuasion.  Well, a recent poll shows that Ohio voters do miss ol’ George and would prefer him in the White House right now rather than the Jackass-in-Chief Obama, by a 50 to 42 margin.

After all the time and effort spent by Democrats to demonize Bush as a war criminal and blame him for everything from natural disasters to the collapse of the economy, all I can say about this new poll is;

“Ouch, that’s gotta hurt”!

When was the last time you saw a liberal being interviewed where the name of George W. Bush did not come up within the first five minutes?  Chances are that it has been quite sometime.  Liberal Democrats have been running against Bush since 2000, and even though there is evidence that the ‘blame Bush’ tactic is wearing very thin, they seem to not be able to stop.   Here is a great example;

Even though the discussion is about what the Obama DOJ is doing right now, Kirsten Powers just can’t help injecting the Bush administration into the argument  debate not once, not twice, but five times.  It is like a ‘slap stick’ comedy routine.  No, really!  It’s like that old Abbott and Costello bit, “Who’s on first”, in which every effort Lou makes to find out the names of the players on the team, it keeps leading to third base.

America Declared its Independence from _______.

From which country did the United States win its independence?  One in four Americans don’t know that the correct answer is Great Britain, and one in five Americans don’t have any clue at all.  This is according to a new poll conducted by Marist Poll.

According to the poll, those least likely to correctly respond to the question were women, non-whites, and those under thirty years of age.  See the breakdown here.

It is interesting to note that these demographics are very similar to the demographics of the typical Obama supporter

Obama Again Shows His Disdain for the Constitution

The section one of the fourteenth amendment to the Constitution reads;  “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

These words have no meaning for President Obama.  Speaking at the American University School of International Service on Thursday, Obama proclaimed that being an American is “not a matter of blood or birth”, but rather, of  “faith” and “shared values”.

What ‘faith’?  Which ‘shared values’?  These are imprecise terms definable by subjective opinion.  American citizenship under these terms could be made to apply to almost anyone.  That, of course, is Obama’s intent.  He is trying to blur the lines between legal and illegal immigration, between citizenship and residency.  In so doing, he is unwittingly accentuating the lines between conservatism and liberalism.  With Obama’s approval index numbers at -20, forcing more people off the fence on this issue, without knowing upon which side they will fall,  is incredibly stupid.
